5-Year Limited Warranty

Every TETSU skillet is made to be kept, not replaced. We stand behind that with a 5-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, valid from the original date of purchase.

This warranty is separate from our 30-day Refund & Return Policy, which covers unused items returned within 30 days.

What this warranty covers

Defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use for five years from the date of purchase, including:

Handle rivets loosening or failing under normal use
Structural failure or cracking of the pan body
Base warping that is not the result of thermal shock or overheating
Manufacturing flaws in the hand-hammered cooking surface

Who is covered

This warranty applies to the original purchaser who bought the product from tetsucookware.com or an authorized retailer. Proof of purchase — your order number or receipt — is required for every claim. This warranty is non-transferable and does not apply to second-hand or resold items.

What this warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, utensil marks, discoloration, darkening, or the natural patina that develops on the cooking surface over time
Overheating or thermal shock, including heating the pan empty, heating above recommended temperatures, or moving a hot pan into cold water
Dishwasher damage. TETSU cookware is hand-wash only
Damage from abrasive cleaners, steel wool, oven cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals
Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, drops, or use outside the product's intended purpose
Commercial, restaurant, or institutional use
Damage occurring in transit (see our Refund & Return Policy)
Products that have been modified, repaired, or altered by anyone other than TETSU
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers
Cosmetic changes that do not affect cooking performance

Care requirements

This warranty assumes the product is cared for as instructed: hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth, dry thoroughly after washing, avoid sudden temperature changes, and do not heat the pan empty over high heat. Damage resulting from failure to follow these instructions is not covered.

What we will do

If your claim is approved, we will, at our discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or a comparable product, or refund the original purchase price. If the original product is no longer available, we may substitute a comparable model. Repair or replacement does not extend the original five-year warranty period.

How to make a claim

Email hello@tetsucookware.com within the warranty period.
Include your order number or proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the product showing the defect.
We will respond within 3 business days and may request additional information or ask you to return the item for inspection.
If we ask you to return the product and your claim is approved, we cover the cost of return shipping.

Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TETSU shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this product. Any implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the five-year term of this written warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
